About Courtney
I am a certified special education teacher with experience supporting young learners as they develop foundational reading skills. I specialize in Orton-Gillingham–based reading instruction, a structured, evidence-based approach that is widely recognized for supporting early readers and students with dyslexia or reading difficulties. My professional background has given me a strong understanding of how children learn, how to individualize instruction, and how to provide targeted support in a way that is both effective and encouraging. I prioritize clear lesson structure, intentional planning, and consistent progress monitoring to ensure each student is supported appropriately. Families can expect a tutor who is patient, prepared, and professional. I value communication with caregivers, respect each child’s pace of learning, and create a safe, positive environment where students feel confident to try, make mistakes, and grow. I am passionate about early literacy and believe that strong reading instruction at a young age can make a lifelong difference. I take pride in helping students build both skills and self-confidence, and I am committed to providing high-quality, individualized instruction for every learner I work with

My lessons help young learners build strong, confident reading skills using Orton-Gillingham–based strategies. I provide structured, multisensory instruction that supports phonemic awareness, letter-sound relationships, and early phonics in a fun and encouraging way.
Lessons are short, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, making them ideal for early learners and children who need extra support, including those with dyslexia. I individualize each session to meet your child where they are, helping them feel successful and confident as they learn.
As a certified special education teacher, I focus on creating positive learning experiences that build both skills and confidence.
