About Colin
I, like you, am constantly trying to learn and grow. My endless pursuit of knowledge has led me down many paths. I've taught high school students in Malawi who were studying for college entrance exams. I've also worked with conversational adults in Turkey who wanted to share thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I was even able to work on my own goal of learning Spanish when I taught primary students in Mexico.
For the past 3 years, I've work as a licensed Special Education teacher in the United States. Many of my students struggle to meet the key literacy goals that children need to be successful as school progresses. This has shed a light on how many adults (myself included!) have approached language learning incorrectly.
I am so excited to share some of my ideas with you and embark on this journey with you!

My goal is to find the learning style that best suits you.
If you want to target specific grammar rules, writing styles, or listening skills, expect thorough lesson plans, repeated exposure, and homework. If you'd rather improve your conversational capacity, I'm a great listener.
My state licensure is for Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science for elementary students.
I also have a 120-hour TEFL certification.
