About Mar
I have had the wonderful opportunity to be a teacher for eight years now. I have taught general English, business English, Cambridge certifications, exam preparation, conversation, among others, at different levels in schools, online and at home. In my last job, I was a high school English coordinator for a private school in Mexico City. Currently, I live in Oaxaca, in a little urbanized area, but my desire to continue teaching and learning led me to enroll in SuperProf and thus, continue to exercise my vocation.

I really enjoy when my students begin to feel confident in the face of the language, when they are the ones who tell me what they want to learn and how they would like to do it. It is something that happens at all levels and at all ages, from the curiosity of children, the energy and concerns of adolescents and young people and the desire for continuous improvement of adults. In this sense, I try to base my classes on promoting motivation. The key to learning English is to know the importance it has in your life, whether to travel, get a better job or simply to understand the lyrics of the songs that you like. Therefore, I create and look for materials according to each student, I use resources such as music, series, movies. I invite English-speaking friends and colleagues to have casual conversations with my students and try to naturalize the language as much as possible, so that it becomes part of their everyday life.
