About Tammy
I am married and I have three children. I have always loved English and writing!
I am a 1994 graduate from Centenary University. Upon graduating college, I got married and began my family. I did not begin my teaching career until 2009, when I was hired as a teacher's aide. I have been comfortable with this position since it afforded me time home with my family. Now that my children are grown, I am seeking a full time position teaching.

Every person is unique. For this reason, I subscribe to the philosophy that every person learns differently and at different speeds. My first objective in teaching is to get to know my student as a person and to build a positive relationship with them to ensure they are comfortable and at ease. From here, I will use mini assessments to learn their strengths and weaknesses. Using their strengths as building blocks, I will differentiate my lessons using scaffolds and any accommodations I need to deliver learning to their brain. Finally, based on their assessment measures, I will either reteach the content or move forward to new content.
