About Shawn
I earned my degree in business management and my passion has always been traveling. I decided to become a certified ESL teacher to allow myself the freedom to pursue my love of travel. I have now been teaching students of all ages and skill levels for almost five years and I love it. This career allows me the opportunity to help people develop a skill that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels. My approach to each class is to first find out the students goals and abilities, then come up with a plan to reach that goal. I like to follow the frame work of Engage, Study, and Activate. What that means is in, for example, a 60 minute class we would spend the first five minutes or so warming up and just speaking to relax. Next we would start the lesson for the day and any worksheets or other study material. Lastly, we would use the newly learned material in real life situations.
