About Max
My name is Max Botha.
I am from Cape Town South Africa and love food, friends, family, hiking, writing and music. I am looking forward to hearing about you and your interests and will make sure to incorporate them into our lessons together.
My experiences as an entrepreneur and business owner pushed me in the direction of teaching. Through years of nurturing people through my business I realised that I had a real passion for teaching and giving knowledge to other people.

If you are looking for a goal orientated, tailor made approach towards your learning then I’m the tutor for you. I work with each students’ needs and drive towards finding your purpose.
With a TEFL certificate and years of teaching and mentoring experience, some of the keys areas I specialise in are:
• English language proficiency – young learners and adults.
• Exam preparation
• Public Speaking
• Job Interviews
• Career Progression
• Delivering Presentations
• Holiday & leisure
• Finding your purpose – business and life.
I use English as a tool to impart knowledge on the above. I create unique and focused study plans for each of my students that revolve around what you as a student are specifically wanting to learn. This detailed approach ensures strong development and capability within any given field of learning.
I invite you to book a lesson and to start your journey of learning and discovery with me.
In our first lesson we will look at what we are wishing to achieve together. I will explain who I am and what my teaching approach entails. With all the necessary information I will create a teaching curriculum personalised for you – a curriculum that suits your personality and learning style. The teaching plan will include lessons, assessments, learning materials and place markers for your progress. You can expect articles, inserts, videos, poetry, role-play, homework, cultural information or materials, world affairs, history, views from industry experts and stimulating assessments to boost your development as an English language learner or an individual looking for a deeper sense of purpose in business or life.
As a teacher I am attentive, helpful, calm, caring and patient. Driven by what I do, you can also expect a lively and resourceful approach from my end. We will work hard but we will have a lot of fun too.
