About Olivia
Hello,
I am Olivia, a certified ESL teacher, I am currently a medical student, currently learning Russian and Ukrainian language, so I do know what it is like to learn a new language. My first experience as a teacher was 3 years ago, I was a private and volunteer tutor for Ukrainian students, where I taught them English for about a year, in the last two years I have taught English on two online platforms to students of different age groups and backgrounds.
In other to make my students better I have invested in myself, both in time and money, I invested in a TOSEL training program in order to better myself, and my student. That is to say, I am a certified TOSEL teacher.
I would also love to share my hobbies, I really enjoy outdoor games with my friends, I love to play badminton, and I am part of a badminton club in my school.
I love to travel, and meet new people, share new ideas with them and learn from them.
In terms of my teaching methods, I think it is great to set goals in anything you do, I like to start by setting goals and getting to know my students, what they want to achieve, what their goals are their plans on how to get there and with all this information I tailor my lesson to their personal need, so I can track their progress and improvement over time
Now anybody can teach you words and their meaning but the English language is more than just words it's about the meaning behind words and its expression that native speakers can catch and use daily, like sarcasm
