About Michele
Hello, my name is Michele. I am a certified ESL tutor, MBA, with a background in the arts. I received my TESOL certificate in 2009 and started my career teaching 'English through play' to children aged 4 to 12 in Lyon, France. I grew up between Australia and the United States. I have a friendly and warm demeanor and have often received feedback that I create a 'safe space' for children. I have worked with many children who initially had a fear and lack of confidence in speaking English out loud. After a few lessons, I have seen them happy and excited to practice songs or plays in English. I enjoy learning what my students are passionate about and tailoring lessons to meet their interests and goals.

I teach 100% in English, using visual aids, gestures, games and props. Depending on my student's age and level, I also work with articles, podcasts, scripts and songs, as well as materials they are working with in their school, work or extracurricular activities.
