About Ashutosh
I am a cybersecurity professional with over 4 years of hands-on industry experience and a Master's in Information Systems Security from Concordia University, Montreal. I have worked as a Security Engineer and Application Security Engineer across industries including
e-commerce and blockchain, where I have discovered and remediated hundreds of real vulnerabilities, built security tooling used in production, and participated in professional bug bounty programs.
My expertise spans web application security, penetration testing, network security, cloud security, and blockchain security. I hold the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (Practical), CompTIA Security+, and eLearnSecurity eCJPT certifications, and I am ranked among
the Top 500 bug bounty hunters worldwide on Bugcrowd.
Beyond my professional work, I have competed at the highest levels of the field — winning 1st place in the Global Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition two years in a row (2022 & 2023, Canada Region), placing 17th worldwide at DEFCON 29, and being publicly
recognized by the Government of India for responsibly disclosing vulnerabilities in government websites.
I believe that cybersecurity is best learned by doing, not by memorizing. I am dedicated to helping students, career changers, and working professionals build real, applicable skills — whether your goal is to pass a certification exam, land your first bug bounty, or
transition into a cybersecurity career.

About the Lesson
My teaching approach is hands-on, practical, and fully tailored to your goals. Every session combines clear concept explanations with live tool demonstrations and guided lab exercises — because understanding how an attack works is completely different from actually
running one in a controlled environment. Whether you are preparing for CEH or Security+ exams, learning bug bounty hunting from scratch, or building skills for your career, my lessons will give you both the knowledge and the confidence to apply it.
What Makes My Teaching Unique?
- Real Industry Experience: I do not teach from a syllabus alone. I bring real cases from my professional work — actual vulnerabilities I have found, triaged, and reported — so you understand how concepts play out in the real world.
- Certification-Focused Preparation: I hold the CEH (Practical), CompTIA Security+, and eCJPT myself. I know exactly what these exams test, where students get stuck, and how to prepare efficiently.
- Hands-On from Day One: Every session uses industry-standard tools — Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark, Kali Linux — the same tools used by professional pentesters and bug bounty hunters.
- Customizable to Your Level: Whether you are a complete beginner or an IT professional upskilling, I adapt the pace, depth, and content to where you are and where you want to go.
- Bug Bounty Mentorship: I have found and reported vulnerabilities on real platforms and in government systems. I guide you through the full process — recon, finding vulnerabilities, and writing reports that actually get paid.
Outline of a Typical Lesson:
- Quick Recap (5–10 min): We review the previous session to reinforce learning and make sure concepts are sticking before we move forward.
- Core Concepts (20–30 min): I break down the topic using real-world analogies and live demonstrations, keeping theory grounded and digestible.
- Real-World Case Study (10 min): I walk you through an actual vulnerability, CTF challenge, or industry incident to show exactly how the concept applies outside the classroom.
- Q&A and Next Steps (5–10 min): We clear up any doubts, review what was covered, and I give you a focused exercise or resource to work on before the next session.
Additional Support I Offer:
- Focused exam preparation for CEH, CompTIA Security+, and eCJPT with practice questions, mock tests, and domain-by-domain review.
- Guidance on getting started with bug bounty hunting — platform selection, methodology, tooling, and writing your first report.
- Help with university assignments and projects in cybersecurity, network security, and penetration testing.
- Advice on building a resume and portfolio that stands out for cybersecurity roles.
- Mentorship on career paths in offensive security, application security, and security engineering.
