About Carolina
I am a native of Spain and experienced Spanish teacher certified by the state of Florida (US) to teach grades K-12 with an M.A. in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have extensive classroom teaching experience in both high school and college levels, and have tutored students of all ages. Although originally from Alicante, Spain, I have lived in Miami over 40 years. Despite the distance, I continue to visit frequently. Living in Miami, I am very familiar with, not only Spanish from Spain, but also Spanish from various parts of Latin America. This gives me a unique advantage over other Spanish teachers. I also have extensive professional experience working in real estate, construction, TV production, and the Latin music industry in Miami, where English and Spanish are used interchangeably. I am a translator as well, and am currently completing court interpreter certification.
