About Jason
Hola!!
My name is Jason. I’m a native Spanish speaker from Havana, Cuba, and I’ve been living in Spain for the past ten years.
I started teaching Spanish to Erasmus students while finishing my university degree, an experience that quickly taught me the importance of creativity, empathy, and patience in the learning process. Since then, I have accumulated over two years of experience teaching Spanish to international students, especially British learners, helping them gain confidence and express themselves naturally. During this time, I’ve discovered that the best way to learn is with empathy, patience, and a little creativity. I’m passionate about all forms of art, music, films, books, and history, and I often use these interests to design lessons and exercises that are both enjoyable and educational.
For me, learning a language goes far beyond grammar. I love meeting new people and sharing stories from all over the world. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, my goal is to help you gain confidence speaking Spanish, understand the culture, and enjoy the learning process.

In our first lesson, we will get to meet each other and talk about your goals with Spanish, your interests, and your previous experience with it, so I can adapt the classes to your needs.
My lessons are dynamic and engaging, covering topics such as general culture, arts, traditions, and everyday situations. We will work on pronunciation, spelling, fluency, as well as reading and listening comprehension, always at a pace that feels comfortable but motivating. I like to talk and cover all sorts of topics, so there's plenty of material to choose from. I enjoy bringing my students closer to Spanish-speaking cultures, as I believe that learning a language is not complete without a deep understanding of its cultural, historical, geographical, and social context.
I adapt my materials to each student, using real-life topics and conversation-based activities that encourage you to speak freely, gain confidence, and overcome the fear of making mistakes.
We will learn Spanish in an engaging way, covering topics such as general culture, arts, and traditions, with a focus on pronunciation, spelling, fluency, and reading and listening comprehension.
Whether your goal is to improve conversation, deepen your understanding, or simply feel more confident expressing yourself, I’ll be happy to guide you along the way. :D
