About Piper
My tutoring began organically in helping struggling classmates starting my freshman year of high school. Since then, I have continued to work with classmates and others to establish understanding of material. My academic background and achievements in biological sciences reflect subject mastery, while my previous scholastic challenges allow me to teach with patience and understanding. I come to each session committed to making information digestible and comfortable.

Teaching Method
I focus on clear explanations of concepts from foundational ideas to finer details, helping students develop real understanding (not memorization alone). My goal is to build confidence alongside mastery.
Typical Lesson
Sessions begin with a quick check-in, followed by a review of the material and key concepts, then guided practice with discussion of strategies.
What Sets Me Apart
I was not always a Straight-A student, in fact having to retake classes in the past, so I understand what it feels like to struggle. With that experience, I work especially well with students who feel overwhelmed. I aim to make learning engaging and approachable.

Middle school, high school, and college students in biology, anatomy & physiology, microbiology, introductory chemistry, basic mathematics to college algebra, and writing (college level typical but all welcome).
