About Joseph
I have tutored and taught for the last ten years (or so) in NY. I started by tutoring in CUNY, then got my Master's degree and certification to teach in NY. I was teaching in two colleges in NY when the pandemic hit, got laid off about a year and a half later. I am considering changing careers but love and have a talent for teaching and explaining, so I thought I'd give this a shot. My students of the past have always complimented me and I'm sure I can teach you something you never heard before.

When tutoring, I let students take the lead as much as possible but I'm also good at planning to ensure student learning.
If you don't feel helped by the end of a session, I don't want your money!
If I was teaching a particular topic, I would start with what your goals are and try to gauge what it would take to get there (and how long.) I will always be honest with you, and the process should be challenging but fun.
