About Christine
I am a former English Language Arts teacher and reading interventionist who spent years teaching reading and writing all day, every day. I'm passionate about literacy in all forms- books, journaling, and helping young readers discover their own love for learning. In 2021, I transitioned from the classroom into the tech field as a software engineer, a shift that reinforced my belief that strong reading skills open the door to every career path. Although I no longer teach in a traditional classroom, tutoring allows me to stay connected to students and continue the work I value most: helping children become confident, capable, and lifelong readers.

My tutoring approach focuses on meeting children exactly where they are and making reading feel attainable and enjoyable. I use a tailored, strengths-based method that highlights what students can already do while addressing misconceptions that may be blocking progress. My goal is to create consistent opportunities for success so students build confidence, deepen comprehension, and grow into capable, motivated readers.
