Hi, I’m Alexis! I am a certified elementary school teacher with experience both in and out of the classroom, working with students across a wide range of academic abilities. I believe true growth comes from understanding how each student learns and adapting instruction to match their style, and tutoring provides the perfect environment to do just that. I use a personalized approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. In English, I focus on reading, comprehension of literary and informational texts, vocabulary, and overall language skills. In Math, I target numbers and operations, problem-solving, algebra, and foundational mathematical concepts. Beyond academics, I emphasize building confidence, engagement, and understanding, which not only supports academic growth but also makes learning a more enjoyable journey for students.
