About Flora
I have a degree in Herbal Medicine and have the practical experience and confidence to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) - TEFL and TESOL certified. Over the years, I have offered English private classes to adults and taught English to children of varying ages in elementary schools. Originally, I am Italian. However, having always lived and studied abroad (Australia and England), English is my mother tongue.

In my experience, each student requires a different learning method. Each one of my lessons is tailored according to the needs, requests and language levels of the students. Learning a language has to be fun and rewarding, so I try to create a teaching approach that ensures the right balance between structure and creativity. During each lesson I make sure that the learning goals and objectives are clearly established with the students, in line with metacognitive methods, thus promoting student learning. I always encourage students to ask questions and try to stimulate reasoning through elaborate interrogation. Games, interactions, discussions and formative assessments are some of the methods used in my lessons.

Grazie Flora! Bravissima, lezioni simpaticissime e molto comprensive. Sto imparando molto e mi sto divertendo, thank you!
I really enjoyed learning English with Flora, she made the lessons fun and creative. She was very good at understanding what I wanted to improve and designed the lessons around this. I would say that flora is the perfect teacher to enjoy learning another language and get fast results. The different ways she structured her lessons helped me to stay motivated and interested. Thank you so much Flora!!
