About Shimna
Hello! My name is Shimna, and I am a passionate, certified educator dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential and build real academic confidence. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literature, backed by an intensive, on-site 120-hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.
Teaching is more than a job to me—it is about creating a spark. Over the past 4+ years, I have worked extensively as both a school classroom teacher and a specialized remedial educator. I have had the wonderful privilege of training an incredibly diverse range of learners:
Young Learners & Primary Students: Helping children build core foundational skills using patience, enthusiasm, and creative activities.
Secondary & High School Students: Preparing teenagers for school exams, boosting their grades, and simplifying complex curriculum topics.
Adult Learners: Coaching adults and college students to improve their communication skills, pronunciation, and conversational confidence.
Because of my international training and background, I am highly adaptable and welcome students from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
