About Teacher
I have a Bachelor's in English Education from RMC and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CA-CREP Accredited) and I am tantalizingly and seemingly perpetually close to completing my LPC accreditation. I am a member of MENSA and Toastmaster's International and I once got a hug from LeVar Burton (a real one; double-clutch squeeze, wax-on, double pat hug, disengage to arm's length hug)*. I guarantee that I can help you accomplish what you're after, regardless of subject, because I don't teach to the material. I teach to the person. I am highly adaptable (around the clock and on-call availability) and completely unflappable. I don't believe people can give offense. It is something that must be taken. Sincere questions receive answers in kind. If we learn to communicate and focus on HOW to learn, we remove the conditionality of IF we learn and can begin to focus on WHAT we learn and WHY we're learning it.

100% conversation-based lessons. I create an IEP that fits your learning style and incorporates your life and experiences into the course material. We make an objective at the beginning of the course and then all you do is participate. I handle the rest. If we don't achieve those objectives, you receive all additional lessons for free until we do.
i am qualified and certified to teach all subjects in ITFFF K-12 curricula as well as college students/adults (non-trads). English is my bread and butter but I have a buffet of offerings. Niche (weird/taboo/specialized) subject matter is my personal favorite as the deep emotional associations make the lessons more genuine.
Don't expect book reports or sentence structure charts or rote conjugation. Expect to laugh, to be challenged, to criticize without condeming and how to listen/think actively.

We truly enjoyed having Professional Roca tutor both of our children (he taught our sophomore son practiAL applicationa of ancient history and he helped our senior with college entrance exam essays. Very intelligent young man and very personable. The boys call him "big bro". His style is different than previous tutors and a bit more chatty than I expected. -Rates are based upon new client rates. All clients who purchase packages and/or returning clients will receive discounted rates.
-Referrals receive a 50% credit for every client referred. (You refer your cousin's best friend's weekend dog shampooer, Sheila. Sheila has her free lesson then decides to sign up with a 10 class package. You will receive a credit of 5 free classes.)
-The world is always crazy. Lately it's been crazy and it has a wicked flu. So things are discombobulated. I understand circumstances and situations change. I'm amenable to a lot of things.
