About Max
As a graduate in chemical engineering from a top-ten ranked university, I have had my experience with feeling lost in a course. I understand the frustration many students face with a traditional classroom setting, and the difficulties that arise with low engagement from professors. Through my experience as an Organic Chemistry tutor, I have built a winning strategy towards conquering these overwhelming courses. In my opinion, success is not achieved by memorizing the definitions created by your instructor, but rather by creating your own definitions through practice. In this way, your understanding is built on your own foundation, and not that of an out of touch professor who expects you to understand everything immediately. Learning will not always be easy, but it is in those difficult times that things finally "click".

For me, true learning is achieved through doing, not being lectured to. I understand the difficulty many students have sitting through lecture after lecture and feeling like little progress is being made in their understanding. My tutoring styling differs from a basic instructor, by breaking down complex concepts to simple and often fun definitions. The easiest way to remember something is to create a memorable explanation! From here, I focus on applying your understanding through practice, starting with basic problems, and working up to a challenging level.
I can help high school students with AP Chemistry, Biology, Calculus A&B, and all prerequisite courses.
I can help undergraduate students with Calculus I-IV, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I & II, Physics I & II, and all Chemical engineering courses.
I look forward to guiding you towards a better understanding and appreciation of what challenges you most!
