About Francine
I've always been fascinated by understanding how things work and by the satisfaction that comes from solving a challenging problem. Maths, physics, and chemistry appealed to me from an early age because of their logical, structured nature—they offered a way to make sense of the world through clear reasoning and problem-solving.
This passion ultimately led me to study Chemical Engineering, where I could apply the principles of these subjects to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to meaningful, lasting change.
Throughout my academic journey, I've come to appreciate the value of great teaching and mentorship. The guidance I've received from inspiring teachers, professors, and peers has played a significant role in my own success. In turn, I've always enjoyed helping others develop their understanding, whether by supporting classmates at school, assisting fellow students at university, or explaining concepts to friends and family.
These experiences have shown me that effective learning is about more than just finding the right answer—it's about building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and discovering that complex ideas can become simple when explained in the right way.
I look forward to connecting with you and learning more about who you are outside of the world of school. Your interests, your passions and how they can be integrated into the material we're tackling.

Having once struggled to understand how to learn maths and science effectively, I know how frustrating it can feel when concepts just don't seem to click. That's why my approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than relying on memorisation.
Together, we'll break down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas that make sense. As your understanding grows, so will your confidence—and you may even find yourself enjoying subjects that once felt challenging!
I am a patient, adaptable tutor who tailors lessons to your individual needs and learning style. I will work at a pace that suits you while encouraging and challenging you to reach your full potential.
Lesson Format: Available for online tuition via Zoom or in-person in the South-East London area.
Availability: Flexible scheduling, including weekday evenings.
First Lesson: I offer the first 30 minutes for free so we can discuss your goals and see if we're a good fit.
