About Alina
My interest in Chemistry developed from a fascination with how invisible processes influence the physical world. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, where I gained a strong understanding of theoretical and applied chemistry. Over 7 years of teaching, I have helped students overcome fear and confusion by presenting chemistry as an understandable and engaging subject.
My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, patience, and adaptability. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and encouraged to explore ideas openly. I adjust explanations using diagrams, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning to suit individual learning styles. My aim is to help learners build confidence by understanding concepts deeply rather than relying on rote memorisation.
Beyond teaching, I continue engaging with chemistry through reading scientific literature and exploring modern applications in industry and research. This keeps my lessons current and meaningful. Teaching Chemistry is fulfilling because I see students shift from doubt to confidence as they realise their ability to understand complex scientific ideas. Supporting that transformation is central to my work as an educator.

Chemistry lessons aim to help students understand how matter behaves, transforms, and interacts at both observable and molecular levels. I focus on guiding learners through fundamental topics such as atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and reaction mechanisms using clear explanations and logical progression. Concepts are introduced gradually, ensuring students understand underlying principles rather than memorising isolated facts. This approach builds a strong conceptual framework that supports long-term academic success.
Lessons are tailored to individual learning levels and goals. Beginners receive structured guidance with visual explanations and real-world examples that make abstract ideas more tangible. Intermediate learners work on equation balancing, quantitative problem-solving, and laboratory reasoning. Advanced students refine analytical thinking, reaction prediction, and exam strategy.
