About Jolene
I have always been fascinated by how chemical principles govern the world around us. I earned a Master’s in Chemistry and have 8 years of experience teaching students at multiple levels. My approach emphasises clarity, practical examples, and step-by-step explanations to ensure that learners grasp concepts fully and retain knowledge effectively.
I integrate interactive learning through demonstrations, visual aids, and applied exercises to enhance engagement. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore scenarios, and develop analytical and critical thinking skills that strengthen both confidence and understanding.
Beyond the classroom, I stay updated on advances in chemical research, laboratory methods, and real-world applications. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I watch students grow from uncertainty to mastery, develop problem-solving skills, and apply knowledge in meaningful ways. Helping learners build confidence, curiosity, and competence in chemistry is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Chemistry is most understandable when students can relate concepts to real-life phenomena. My lessons cover atomic structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and lab techniques through simple, structured explanations. I focus on engaging students with hands-on exercises, analogies, and visual demonstrations to build a strong conceptual foundation. Each session encourages curiosity, careful observation, and application of principles to everyday scenarios to make chemistry meaningful and enjoyable.
Lessons are designed according to the learner’s level. Beginners learn about basic elements, chemical bonding, and reaction types with guided explanations. Intermediate learners focus on stoichiometry, thermochemical calculations, reaction mechanisms, and experimental interpretation. Advanced learners explore organic synthesis, kinetics, equilibrium, and laboratory problem-solving techniques. Exercises, discussions, and mini-experiments are included to reinforce understanding and improve practical skills.
Studying chemistry enhances analytical thinking, problem-solving, and precision.
