About Faith
I discovered my passion for chemistry through a fascination with how substances interact, transform, and sustain life. This inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Chemical Technology, equipping me with both theoretical depth and practical lab experience. Over 8 years, I have guided learners from introductory concepts to advanced chemistry applications, fostering understanding, curiosity, and confidence.
My teaching style emphasises clarity, structured explanations, and active participation. I integrate visual aids, demonstrations, and problem-solving exercises to make challenging concepts approachable. I encourage students to question, analyse, and explore independently, building critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.
I stay engaged with current research, innovative lab techniques, and chemical industry developments to enrich lessons. Mentoring students for competitions, lab work, and exam preparation has been a highlight of my career. Seeing learners grow from uncertainty to confident understanding motivates me to create lessons that are both rigorous and inspiring, helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for chemistry.

Chemistry is a subject of transformation and discovery. In my lessons, I focus on helping students understand reactions, molecular structures, and chemical principles in ways that are engaging and relevant. Lessons integrate real-life applications, virtual experiments, and problem-solving exercises, fostering deep comprehension of topics like acids and bases, stoichiometry, reaction kinetics, and organic mechanisms. Each class emphasises reasoning, critical thinking, and conceptual clarity rather than rote memorisation.
I adapt the lesson to suit the student’s level. Beginners explore fundamental concepts with clear visuals, analogies, and simple experiments to build confidence. Intermediate learners engage with chemical equations, reaction mechanisms, lab simulations, and analytical problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle complex organic syntheses, thermodynamics, and experimental design, preparing for higher studies and competitive exams. Through guidance, questioning, and demonstration, I help learners grasp both the practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry.
Beyond academics, chemistry lessons cultivate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and precision. Students learn to approach problems methodically, analyse data critically, and connect chemical knowledge to broader scientific contexts. My goal is to help learners become independent thinkers who can apply chemical principles confidently, both in exams and in real-world scientific scenarios, building a lasting appreciation for the subject.
