My teaching approach is built on flipped classes and problem-solving, which means you won’t just memorize formulas, you’ll truly understand them and know how to apply them. I guide you to actively work through problems in a way that reflects real exam conditions, while also showing you how chemistry connects to everyday life: from the food you eat, to the medicines you take, to the environment that surrounds you.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of key concepts, followed by step-by-step practice on exercises. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, make connections, and apply knowledge instead of simply repeating it. Each session is personalized to your learning style so that you leave with clarity and confidence.
Think of our sessions as an ongoing support system. My goal is to help you strengthen your understanding and independence. With this method, chemistry stops being abstract, it starts making sense, becoming practical, useful, and meaningful.

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I’ve always been fascinated by chemistry. Even back in high school, I remember being amazed at how a few invisible rules could explain why the world works the way it does, from why bread rises to how batteries power our phones. That curiosity grew into my career. Tutoring came naturally along the way, because I’ve always enjoyed those one-on-one moments where I can help someone finally get it.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach chemistry, general, organic and even biochemistry. What I love most is connecting chemistry to real life, talking about the molecules in food, medicine, or the environment. What I like less? When chemistry gets reduced to endless formulas to memorize. For me, it’s much more exciting when students start asking, But why does it happen that way?
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes! My chemistry teacher at University. She had this gift of turning complicated topics into simple, visual explanations. She made chemistry fun, and his enthusiasm was contagious. That’s the kind of energy I try to bring into my own classes.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Everyone learns differently, so I think a tutor has to be flexible, ready to explain the same idea in three or four ways until it clicks. And passion matters, if you show students you genuinely enjoy the subject, they’ll feel more motivated too.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I’ll never forget the day a student finally understood chemical equilibrium after I compared it to a seesaw. You could see the lightbulb turn on, it went from being abstract to something they could picture in their mind. Moments like that are the reason I teach.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

The biggest challenge is convincing students that chemistry isn’t just hard or about memorizing. It’s really about patterns and logic. Once students see that, everything gets easier. For me personally, the challenge is keeping up with new discoveries and finding ways to bring them into the classroom so students see chemistry as a living, evolving science.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Honestly, my passion is teaching. I love helping students build confidence and realize that they can master something they once thought was impossible. Outside of that, I’m really into exploring new educational tools, whether it’s virtual labs, simulations, or creative ways to make science more fun and inclusive.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?

I’d say it’s a mix of experience and attitude. I know the subject inside out, but more importantly, I care about each student’s journey. I try to make lessons interactive, clear, and encouraging so that chemistry feels less intimidating and more like a puzzle worth solving.
