About Zoya
Hi! I’m a passionate chemistry tutor who believes that anyone can succeed in this subject with the right guidance and support. I’ve been exactly where you are—frustrated, confused, and convinced chemistry just wasn’t for me. But all it took was one great teacher to completely change my perspective. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the subject and made it my mission to help others feel the same way. I bring that same clarity, patience, and positivity to every lesson. My approach is tailored, interactive, and focused on helping you truly understand the “why” behind the formulas. I’m reliable, approachable, and fully committed to your progress. Whether you're aiming to catch up, get ahead, or build your confidence from the ground up, I’m here to support you every step of the way. With me, you're not just getting a tutor—you’re getting someone who genuinely cares about your success and believes in your potential, even when you don’t (yet). Let’s turn chemistry into one of your strengths—together.

My Approach as a Chemistry Tutor:
I understand the struggle of trying to make sense of a subject that just doesn’t click—because I’ve been there myself. Before Grade 12, I hated chemistry. Nothing made sense, and it felt impossible to enjoy. But that changed when I had an incredible teacher who explained things clearly, visually, and in a way that finally made everything fall into place. From that moment on, I not only understood chemistry—I loved it. Now, I’m committed to helping students experience that same shift.
Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
My teaching style is centered around empathy, flexibility, and clarity. I’m a visual learner, and I use a variety of tools—diagrams, analogies, color coding, practice problems, and real-world examples—to break down complex concepts. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, whether they’re visual, auditory, hands-on, or a mix. My goal is always to make chemistry feel accessible, logical, and even fun.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson follows a simple but effective structure:
Warm-up Review: Briefly go over previous material to reinforce retention.
Core Concept Breakdown: Introduce and explain new concepts using visual aids and step-by-step examples.
Practice and Application: Work through problems together, guiding the student to think critically and independently.
Check-in and Clarify: Pause regularly to answer questions and ensure the student truly understands.
Recap and Reinforce: Summarize key points and leave the student with targeted practice or tips to help them keep progressing.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes me different is that I get it. I know how hard chemistry can feel until it clicks—and I know how life-changing the right teacher can be. I bring patience, energy, and a genuine passion for the subject to every session. I work hard to build trust with my students, like my teacher did with me, and make learning feel like progress, not punishment. Plus, I'm a strong believer in positive reinforcement and creating a space where it’s okay to make mistakes—that's where real learning happens.
Who the Lessons Are For:
These lessons are perfect for:
High school students (Grades 10–12) working through general or advanced chemistry
Students preparing for standardized exams or university prerequisites
Anyone who feels “stuck” in chemistry and needs a fresh, supportive approach to learning
Whether you’re struggling to keep up or just want to boost your confidence, I’m here to help. Chemistry is challenging, but with the right approach—and a little bit of Zoya-style inspiration—it can absolutely become your favorite subject too.
