About Katie
I'm Katie, a 22 year old chemistry undergraduate at University of Glasgow. I have studied both biology and chemistry in my first two years of university and have completed my third year and fourth years studying purely chemistry. I have gained all A results in recent years and I am now in 5th year of my degree.

I have extensive knowledge on the subjects I teach. I volunteered with the voluntary tutor association and taught a young child general arithmetic and English. We completed her homework each week and then extra reading to help her catch up with her class. I have worked at the Scottish Children Reporter's Administration, engaging with vulnerable, sensitive children and teenagers and have great experience of staying calm and appropriately dealing with the situation at hand. My approach to teaching is to focus on particular areas of the subject the student is struggling with, find interesting ways to learn and teach this to them effectively and consistently ask for feedback so that the student has control over how and what we are learning.

I am currently working towards my PhD at Glasgow University
