About Natalia
I am a tutor with hands-on teaching and research experience across both classroom and laboratory settings. I have worked as a Course Assistant for Harvard Physics 137 (Philosophy of Quantum Theory), where I led discussion sections, clarified abstract concepts, and helped students develop precise scientific reasoning. I have also served as a Physics 191 Advanced Lab assistant, supporting students with experimental design, instrumentation, error analysis, and technical write-ups—experience that allows me to teach not just theory, but how physics is actually practiced.
Additionally, I am an active researcher in computational astrophysics and plasma and nuclear propulsion. My work has included building Python-based simulations, analyzing large scientific datasets, and presenting first-author research at international conferences in Europe. This research background directly informs my tutoring style: I teach students how to reason from first principles, understand assumptions and limits of models, and approach unfamiliar problems systematically and confidently.

My tutoring style comes directly from my own experience learning and teaching physics in real classrooms and labs. I’ve worked as a course assistant and physics lab assistant, and I’m actively involved in research, so I know firsthand how confusing technical material can feel—and what actually helps it click. That experience has taught me how to spot where students get stuck and how to explain ideas from the ground up in a way that feels manageable instead of overwhelming. In lessons, I focus on building intuition, talking through thought processes, and guiding students as they solve problems themselves. I tutor high school and undergraduate students in physics, math, and related STEM courses, with the goal of helping them feel more confident, capable, and independent in challenging material.
