About Lee
I am majoring in chemistry with a minor in philosophy. Next year I'm off to grad school to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry. I look at air pollutants like ground-level ozone and nitrogen oxides and use fancy instruments in the lab to identify all sorts of gasses every second!
When I was in high school, I promised myself that in college & beyond I would engage in not just one area of knowledge, but approach the world while looking through an interdisciplinary lens. I was lucky to make that promise! Now in my senior year, I am fortunate to TA Chemistry 101 & 102 courses. This has been a reflective experience. Through teaching, I've learned how far my abilities in chemistry can serve me. The concepts and skills I've mastered are extremely transferrable — I feel prepared to dissect any problem.
My experiences have shown me the importance of sharing passions. As a tutor, I am able to share the passion I have for science with students who have all different interests of their own. Hopefully, with my help, what often seems like grueling subjects can become fascinating and surmountable for my students.
