About Anjali

My passion for Chemistry began with a fascination for how substances change, interact, and reveal the invisible rules of matter. This interest guided me toward earning a B.Sc in Chemical Principles, where I learned to appreciate the elegance and structure of chemical systems. Later, I completed an M.Sc in Organic Synthesis, deepening my understanding of molecular behavior and reaction design. Over the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching Chemistry in a way that makes students feel supported, inspired, and capable of mastering even the most challenging topics. Sharing this subject with learners has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my professional life. I teach with patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to clarity. I know Chemistry can feel intimidating, especially when students first encounter complex symbols, equations, or abstract ideas. That’s why I break concepts down into intuitive steps, using examples, analogies, and visual explanations that suit each learner’s needs. I encourage questions and celebrate progress, helping students build confidence through understanding rather than memorization. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their uncertainties and gradually transform them into strengths. Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with Chemistry by reading research articles, learning about new experimental methods, and following developments in green chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and materials science. I enjoy incorporating modern discoveries into lessons to show students how Chemistry remains a vibrant and evolving field. Teaching allows me to support learners intellectually and personally, helping them recognize their potential and develop the skills needed to succeed. Watching students grow more confident, expressive, and scientifically fluent continues to inspire me every day.

Chemistry becomes far more approachable when students realise it is the science of patterns—patterns in matter, energy, reactions, and molecular behaviour. My lessons help learners build a calm, structured understanding of atomic theory, bonding, stoichiometry, energetics, acids and bases, organic mechanisms, electrochemistry, and analytical techniques. I focus on intuition first, then deeper theory, ensuring that each concept is introduced in a way that feels logical rather than overwhelming. Through diagrams, clear explanations, visual models, and step-by-step reasoning, I help learners see how different topics connect into a meaningful and coherent whole. My goal is to create an environment where students feel guided, supported, and confident at every stage of learning.

Beginners receive gentle, structured introductions to essential concepts such as electron arrangement, periodic trends, conservation of mass, and types of reactions. Intermediate students explore thermochemistry, equilibrium, redox behaviour, organic families, and laboratory reasoning using a mix of worked examples and conceptual explanations. Advanced learners focus on multi-step mechanisms, exam writing strategies, spectroscopy, kinetics, and synthesis analysis. Throughout each stage, I incorporate targeted practice tasks, calm correction steps, and consistent reinforcement designed to help students feel capable and motivated. My teaching approach emphasises clarity, patience, and the belief that every learner can succeed with the right support.

Chemistry lessons also cultivate broader intellectual skills—analytical thinking, precision, resilience, and structured reasoning. Students become more confident in approaching problems systematically, interpreting data, and connecting abstract concepts to real-world examples such as medicine, energy systems, environmental processes, and material science. Many students discover new academic interests or gain motivation for future studies in fields like pharmacology, engineering, biotechnology, or environmental chemistry. My intention is to help students see Chemistry not as a barrier but as an exciting and empowering subject that reveals the hidden workings of the world. I aim to support learners emotionally and academically, helping them develop both confidence and genuine curiosity.
