About Finn

These lessons take you deep into the chemistry of life, uncovering how the smallest molecules work together to create and sustain living systems. The approach blends detailed analytical review with carefully structured case studies in biochemistry. We explore the roles of macromolecules — proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids — and see how they form the building blocks of life. Each topic is connected to real biological functions, so the learning feels purposeful and clear. Metabolic pathways are studied in depth, revealing how energy moves through cells and powers essential processes. Enzyme kinetics becomes a fascinating exploration of the catalysts that make life possible, highlighting the speed, precision, and regulation of biological reactions. Lessons focus on breaking down complex topics into steps that are easy to follow while still rich in detail. The aim is to help learners sharpen their understanding and approach the subject with confidence. Those preparing for fields like materials science or medicine find targeted guidance that aligns with their academic and career goals. Every session is designed to challenge thinking, strengthen problem-solving skills, and spark curiosity about the hidden mechanisms of life. By the end, you will see biochemistry not just as a subject, but as the language of life’s molecular machinery.

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. My passion lies in a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to electroplating and surface finishing chemistry. I guide learners through the principles of electrochemical deposition, showing how these processes influence material properties and serve a wide range of industrial applications. In my lessons, we examine the role of electrode kinetics and how bath composition directly impacts the quality and performance of coatings.

We also explore coatings from both an aesthetic and a protective perspective, connecting theory with practical, real-world examples. I enjoy bridging chemistry with materials engineering, manufacturing processes, and applied chemistry, making the subject relevant for future innovators. Many of my students are eager to understand the link between scientific principles and the creation of functional, high-performance materials.

Through detailed explanations, case studies, and industry-oriented discussions, I help learners connect concepts to applications. I believe chemistry is more than equations — it’s a creative tool for shaping the physical world. My goal is to inspire curiosity while building strong technical understanding. Together, we can explore how chemistry transforms surfaces into durable, functional, and beautiful materials that truly stand the test of time.
