About Erick
I am currently a Research Scientist with a PhD in chemistry from Texas A&M University (class of 2021). I have a BS in Chemistry from Niagara University (class of 2015). I have postdoctoral experience researching at the Air Force Research Laboratory. As a researcher, I have published more than 15 papers generally in the field of materials chemistry. I have an H-Index of 12. I regularly speak at international conferences having given more than 15 research talks and taking part as an expert in research society review publications. As a teacher, I have several years of experience teaching undergraduate review classes, teaching laboratory courses for undergraduates, and being a teaching assistant for graduate chemistry courses in crystallography and materials chemistry. I have 5 years of tutoring experience and I am a CRLA certified tutor. I am excited to reignite my passion for teaching and tutoring on this platform.

My well rounded knowledge of chemistry and science has gained me a perspective where my tutoring builds a foundational understanding of the science and does not focus on rote memorization. I focus on creating a lifelong understanding of the physical world around us that helps make any class in the field easier for the rest of your academic career. I have experience tutoring high school, tutoring undergraduates of all levels, and public speaking giving regular research presentations. I enjoy teaching and tutoring is a way to keep that passion in my life as a research scientist.
