About Kun
Hello everyone!
My name is Xu Kun, 徐坤 and I’m from Shanghai, China.
For over 20 years, I’ve been teaching and coaching the Chinese language, introducing Chinese culture, and doing business in/with China for around 2000 global executives, professionals, students. I am lecturer at business school as SKEMA, ESSCA, also I am an acting teacher at a drama school, where I integrate voice, body, and emotion into language expression.
Challenges often mentioned by my students are writing and pronunciation, let’s don’t fight against our memories or muscles, but support our memories and body. I will stay aside with you and turn challenges into fun exercises, and games.
A language learning journey is not just about the language but also interests and future life behind. We will bring questions and curiosities to your learning journey, we can explore topics together: Myth, philosophies, food, body & mind, etiquette, daily life, movies, music, writing, have fun as well as visible improvement.

My name is Xu Kun, 徐坤 and I’m from Shanghai, China.
For more than 20 years, I have worked as a language tutor and business coach, delivering over 20,000 hours of one-to-one sessions. I have helped more than 2,000 executives and professionals around the world enjoy learning Chinese, understand Chinese culture, and communicate more effectively in cross-cultural and business contexts. My name is Xu Kun (徐坤), and I’m Chinese from Shanghai, I speak Mandarin, Nanchangese and Shanghainese, French English, and a few Italian. My educational background includes an MFA in Actor Training & Coaching at UoL in the UK and an MBA at IAE Poitiers France.
I like to call myself a language tutor, a cultural explorer and a Qigong practitioner.
For over 20 years, I’ve been working as Mandarin Tutor, Expat and Executive Coach, Intercultural trainer, University Lecturer, Actor and Acting teacher. With over 20000 hours in individual coaching, I am convinced that a diverse learning approach co-created by learner and tutor leads to a better embodied learning. Challenges often mentioned by my students are writing and pronunciation.
