About Yiding

Hi! I'm Yiding from China. I have a Master's degree in TESOL from USC and experience in teaching and tutoring Mandarin Chinese in Los Angeles. I design individualized lesson plans based on student's interests and needs. I can help you with your listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I can also teach you traditional Chinese calligraphy if you are interested. My classes are highly engaging, fun, and culturally intensive, if you would like to know more about Chinese culture and history while learning the language, please feel free to contact me!

About the lesson

I am good at personalizing lesson plans based on students' interests and needs. My lesson plan usually includes warm-up, cultural or background introduction, vocabulary, games (to enhance memory and word application), and output (e.g. Making posters, role play, show and tell, etc.). I always combine various learning activities with cultural learning in the tutoring session. I have a great passion for language teaching and I enjoy working with students of all ages and Chinese proficiency levels.
