About Ricardo
Originally from Mexico City and a graduate of the School of Music of the UNAM, he specializes in concert guitar and has won several national and international chamber music competitions. He was a founding member of the Guitar Orchestra of the National School of Music and is currently an active member of the contemporary music guitar ensemble Octeto Sicarú, with whom he has performed both in Mexico and in various European countries as well as in North and South America, obtaining important prizes among which stand out first places in festivals such as the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) 2017, Southern Guitar Festival 2017, Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Competition 2017, Youth Award 2014 CDMX, Manuel M. Ponce Award 2014, etc. As a soloist he has performed in different stages in Mexico, Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Brazil, Slovakia, the United States, Hungary, Italy, the Czech Republic and Uruguay.

The classes are structured for a progressive learning and adequate to the level required by the student. They consist of a theoretical part, to understand how the instrument works and the construction of melodies and harmonies in it, a part of technique, for a correct position and take care that the student does not have "vices" that generate subsequent discomfort or slow its learning and a practical part, where the student interprets the desired repertoire, all this always following the musical interests of the student and with well-defined objectives from the beginning to achieve a gradual, constant and enjoyable learning in which the student sees results from the first classes.
