About Madalyn
As an avid language learner, I have spent the last 4 years studying classical Arabic (FusHa) at a university renowned for foreign language studies. My degree was focused on international and global studies in the Middle East and North Africa. I studied abroad in Amman, Jordan, and took Middlebury's Language Pledge, which requires the use of only Arabic for the duration of the program. I have a learned understanding of Arabic that has been tested by real-world immersion, allowing me to communicate with native speakers, but maintain an understanding of the difficulty and nuances of learning the language. I am most confident in Classical and Jordanian Arabic, but I also have experience in the Egyptian and Moroccan dialects.
