About Victor
Originally from Romania, I’ve started to play violin at the age of six. I studied in Spain for six years until 2012 from which I gained "Diploma de grado medio", intermediate degree diploma. To continue my studies, I decided to come to London where I completed my undergraduate and achieved a Second-First honours degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2017. My teaching adapts to the needs and age of the student. Playing violin is a complex activity that requires the control of various aspects such as: holding the bow, left hand articulation, holding the violin correctly etc. In order to express and enjoy the music on the instrument, one needs to overcome the technical aspects. With my expertise, I try to help you overcome these with concepts and exercises designed for you to motivate and help you achieve your ideal. In my teaching I strive to inspire the student with the adequate music pieces. The only way to achieve fulfilment and independence in playing an instrument is to learn the correct movements required for a good sound and good intonation. In other words, technique is inseparable from beauty of sound/expression in music. In my teaching, I plan every lesson carefully so that each step leads towards the proper learning and enjoyment of a skill set. I can teach towards passing ABRSM exam grades or for all-round musicianship. In-person lessons: £60 per hour Online lessons: £40 per hour.
