About Jaylin
I have been singing and performing on stage for schools, concerts, and events for 11 years. I studied classical voice at Peabody Institute of the John Hopkins University for three years, where I was classically and professionally trained. I additionally taught a Voice Repertoire course and Musical Theatre elective as a senior counselor at a Performing Arts Summer Camp for two years. I have received various awards celebrating my vocal achievements and participated as a lead in a number of musicals including "Chicago" as Velma Kelly and "Pippin" as The Leading Player. Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance is the foundation of my identity, and I adore sharing this passion through teaching young minds interested in the beauty of voice.

My lessons help to build the repertoire of young children seeking musical ambitions and to strengthen the health and quality of the voice. I begin with an introductory portion that introduces the student to myself as well as the session. We will first discuss the student's musical experiences and goals, then proceed into warm up activities. The remainder of the lesson will focus on the introduction of and progress on various Musical Theatre pieces. I provide an introductory to intermediate musical course for kids between the ages of 8 and 14. I strive to mold my lessons around the needs and experiences of the child, which allow me to both assist in improving the condition of the voice and to find musical pieces that best complement and emphasize the student's strengths.
