About Lea
I am a classically trained mezzo-soprano with a Master's in Vocal Studies. I am a sought-after coach, music director, teacher, and professor. As a soloist, I have performed works in 10+ languages and genres ranging from opera to gospel to modern pop. I have music directed 20 productions for pre-professional and professionals. I have taught in high schools, been a visiting professor in college settings, led workshops, and conducted professional and volunteer choirs. Some of my current and recent projects include The Witching Hour, a program of treble vocal music and spoken word poetry, which has been performed at Boston's SoHIP festival as well as the NYS Baroque and Pegasus Rising concert series; serving as vocal coach to an up-and-coming recording artist as well as providing background vocals for her debut album (details yet to be public); and music directing an equity production of The Winter Wonderettes at Greater Boston Stage Company.

I teach students of all levels, from very beginners to professionals who are working on albums, productions, and performances. I prioritize healthy and informed technique, empowering my students to hear, feel, and understand their own instrument. I start lessons with ~15 minutes of warmup and exercises to improve stamina, breath control, and to build a technical vocabulary. We then apply those skills to a song either of your choice or of my suggestion, if you prefer. I work with singers in myriad genres (pop, rock, musical theatre, opera, art song, choral) and languages (English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Russian).
