About Joy
I studied Sacred Music with concentration in piano and organ, and I have 4 years of experience teaching students of different ages. My background provides a strong technical and musical foundation. I believe learning should be calm and motivating.
Students in my lessons discover the energy of ragtime and the groove of stride piano. We build coordination, phrasing, and steady timing. I carefully demonstrate techniques so practice becomes easier.
I teach both school learners and adults returning to music. Each student has unique goals and interests. I adapt my teaching to match them. Together we develop confidence and musical enjoyment.
