About Natalie
I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota, where I supported beginner coding clubs, robotics groups, and computer literacy programs for children. With 5+ years of tutoring experience, I’ve taught students with zero background, intermediate coders building projects, and advanced young learners experimenting with AI basics. My programming lessons begin with helping students understand how computers follow instructions. Once they feel comfortable with this foundation, learning actual code becomes much easier and far more enjoyable. We explore Python with clear exercises, SQL through data-based questions, JavaScript through interactive logic, Java through structured programs, and MATLAB through numerical problem-solving.
For students with creative imaginations, I introduce video game programming, showing them how movement, collision, scoring, and interactions are created. They build small games step-by-step, learning logic and creativity together. Whenever confusion arises, I pause immediately and explain again using a fresh and simpler approach, ensuring the student fully understands before continuing.
My goal is to make coding feel exciting, empowering, and completely doable.
