About Sydney
Hi! I’m Sydney Rohr, a college student studying biochemistry and someone who’s always been a little obsessed with STEM. All through high school, I stayed ahead in my math and science courses because those subjects just clicked for me—and I love helping others feel that same spark. When I’m not in an educational zone, you’ll usually find me watching a good show, drawing, or doing puzzles—pretty much anything that keeps my brain awake and curious. I bring that same energy to tutoring: patient, engaged, and genuinely excited to help students understand concepts that once felt intimidating. My goal is to make STEM clearer, more approachable, and way less stressful for anyone who needs support. With a strong background and a real passion for these subjects, I’m here to help students build confidence and succeed.

As a STEM tutor, my goal is to support anyone in middle or high school who wants to feel more confident in math or science. My lesson plan starts with making sure I’m fully up-to-speed on the specific topic the student needs. From there, I have them work through a few practice problems so I can see what they understand and where they’re getting stuck.
I start with the core concepts first. Once those basics click, I ask the student to “teach” the idea back to me—because if you can explain it, you truly understand it. After that, we move step-by-step into more challenging material, building confidence and skill along the way. My goal is to make STEM feel approachable, doable, and even a little fun.
