College freshman who has been tutoring classmates and others in math for 4+ years. Have also very briefly worked as a tutor for my high school to prepare groups of students for regents or the SAT, though I've gotten the best results tutoring 1 on 1.

I strongly believe that math is the basis for all other learning, as the skills you learn in pattern recognition and logic carry over to virtually every subject. I try to express this by breaking down problems to real world situations and having students intuitively find the solutions, and build on their own discoveries to create a unique framework of understanding for for each student
