Andrea is a very kind, lively, relatable, understanding, and patient teacher. I took her for 2 undergraduate intro to Spanish classes. She is thorough and organized in her approach to teaching. She provides notes and an explanation to concepts and topics, and then she will go through several practice problems. I highly recommend her as she made an incredible impact on me as a student.

I had señora Castillo for Spanish 1152 (1 and 2 combined) my second semester freshman year and she is the best professor I have had. She truly cares about her students and makes the classroom a fun, relaxing environment. It’s hard learning a foreign langugae, but she made it fun and was there every step of the way.

Señora Castillo was an amazing Spanish teacher! She made learning Spanish fun for me and I soon fell in love with the language. She really took her time with all of her students to make sure they understood the material. She also used useful real life examples of Spanish in a conversational context. She is also very easy to talk to, so it’s not hard to go to her if you’re confused about something.

Not only is she fluent in Spanish, but she really cares that her students learn the language, and she finds fun ways to help students remember.
