About Dhruvi
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student currently studying A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Having over 6 months of experience as a tutor and having achieved mainly grade 9s and a few grade 8s at GCSE, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them with the correct techniques and support. I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to my peers in lessons and this is what inspired me to become a tutor. I want to make a positive impact on someone's learning journey and help students build confidence in their subjects and reach their academic goals - just as I have done myself.

With a strong academic background and over 6 months of one-to-one tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and deepen their understanding of the subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Maths at either GCSE level or A-level. My tutoring style focuses on interactive and personalised teaching. My aim is to firstly build a strong foundational understanding of the subjects by identifying gaps in knowledge and simplify complex topics via different methods that are best suited to the student e.g. visual diagrams and simplified notes. To solidify the knowledge learnt, every lesson starts with active recall of previously taught content and exam-styled questions to apply the knowledge. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. As mentioned before, I have experience as a tutor and I also achieved top grades for GCSEs with six grade 9s and four grade 8s - with a 9 in Biology and Chemistry and an 8 in Maths. My lessons are targeted at GCSE and A level students, typically aged 13-16 years old, who are looking for structured support and guidance in order to achieve the best possible grades.
