I have tutored adults of all ages, both in school settings, private settings and in a correctional facility. My tutoring includes writing, polishing grammar if needed, and writing resumes for job seekers.
The job seekers include college students, graduates, and adults wanting to change careers.

My teaching methods include creating original essays, brainstorming topics students can write about and writing about and analyzing written essays, etc.
A typical lesson plan would have students choose one of several compositions to reflect on and analyze in their writing. What strikes you about his passage? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Explain why you like it or dislike it with quotes from the passage. Students can revise their work to become better writers than they are at the moment.
For original compositions, if someone with no knowledge of the subject read it, would the work be clear to the reader? I have been doing this successfully since 2007.
