About Madison
Hey there! Are you a middle or high school student who thinks you can't write a good essay, use the correct form of your, or make sense of whatever Edgar Allan Poe is talking about? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Madison Landires, and just a few years ago, I was in your shoes. After getting some tutoring myself, I learned how to navigate the complexities of an overly poetic AP Literature teacher and understand exactly what they were asking for. I graduated high school as an AP Scholar, a National Honor Society member, an officer of the National Law Honor Society, and an active participant in Speech and Debate. In other words, I’ve had plenty of experience writing essays, speeches, and emails—and now, I'm ready to share all the College Board’s secrets (well, sort of kidding). I’m currently in college and headed to the University of Central Florida to pursue my passion for law studies while helping young minds not only pass their exams but also build confidence in their writing and analytical skills.

There is no such thing as a "bad student," and I'm here to help enhance a student's reading, writing, and analytical skills. I am a college student tutoring middle school and high school students in English and writing. Before diving into lessons, it is crucial to identify where the student struggles, as this is key to their growth. Whether the challenge is grammar mechanics, essay structure, literary analysis, or argumentation, focusing on specific skills will accelerate the learning process. Once we identify areas for improvement, a typical lesson begins by discussing the student’s current assignments and reviewing what they did and didn’t understand in class. The core of each lesson varies depending on the student's needs—whether they prefer to work on school assignments or follow a structured tutoring plan designed to strengthen various skills. These lessons can focus on essay structure, literary analysis, writing style, or clarity. After the core lesson, we move into practice, feedback, application, and improvement. This involves reviewing specific areas for growth, providing targeted feedback, and guiding the student through self-editing exercises using thoughtful questions. I once struggled with confidence in my intelligence during high school, but seeking help allowed me to overcome that doubt, complete nine AP exams, and pass them all. I believe every student has that potential—it’s just a matter of reaching out for the right support.
