About Francesca
I graduated high school in 2017 and am currently working to get my BFA at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. I am studying English Literature, Women & Gender Studies, and Poetry. Although I have minimal tutoring experience, I have a profound love for literature that I am ready to utilize as a tutor. I have had my writing published in online journals and went through the International Baccalaureate program, thus having experience in writing research essays in multiple subjects as well as having an understanding of the format needed to create a good essay. As a rising sophomore, I have already taken multiple English classes - including Medieval Literature and a Level 300 class focusing on applying the base theories of quantum physics to the structure of post-Modern American fiction. I am patient, understanding, and organized. Tutoring is only offered by webcam at this time, since I am back and forth from college.

For my lessons, I plan to help students struggling with the following: analyzing poetry or novels, understanding the themes behind well known high school books, essay writing and how to structure a MLA formatted essay, how to find scholarly articles and utilize them in writing, creative writing including poetry and short stories, and overall develop an understanding with the student about the importance of English literature throughout the ages as well as the different literary devices utilized throughout novels, novellas, and poetry.
