About Tina
I am a Communication Design (BA) graduate- I've been giving small group lessons in my spare time for 6 months now. The group would usually consist of 3 to 6 students. I focus mostly on preparation for Art School; Such as preparing and arranging portfolio work, as well as Advice/ Show&Tell Illustration lessons. I've decided to move this practice to an online space as well because of recent events we're all currently dealing with.

My students are usually teens (12 to 17) but I've worked with older students (18+) who are looking to get into art-oriented university courses as well. At first, I ask the students to bring some of their work and talk about it freely, so I can get a sense of their goals and them as a person. After that, my method is all about providing structured feedback and building up the student's confidence; As I've noticed that many students struggle with appreciating their own work, which only stems from not receiving the proper feedback and therefore not being able to look at their work in a realistic, clearheaded way.
