About Tracey
I have been teaching English to students online since 2020.
My style is friendly and reassuring, but I do expect my students to pay attention and do their best. My focus and area of expertise is teaching students who hope to attend post-secondary education in an English speaking country.
I try to match lesson materials with student interests so that lessons don't become boring; for example, if you are interested in history, our reading lessons can focus on materials of historical interest. We can also focus on either British or American English (or both) depending on your future plans.
I believe I make my students feel relaxed and comfortable while learning, and am an encouraging and helpful instructor. I have gained many new students through word of mouth, and several of my current students were recommended to take my classes by a friend already studying with me.

My English as a Second Language classes are customized to your goals and abilities after taking a placement test. I use a wide variety of materials and spend time making sure you understand what you are learning and remember what you learn. We do not move on until you are comfortable with the learning material. The focus is always on improving academic performance.
A typical class might consist of vocabulary drills, listening exercises, grammar review and practical usage of skills through workbook exercises, speaking practice, listening exercises and more. Tests are given after each unit to ensure you are progressing successfully. All necessary worksheets/workbooks/reading materials are provided.
