Hi! My name is Akinlua Olorunfisayomi Peace, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident, successful, and enjoy math. I know math can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I believe that with the right support and clear explanations, anyone can improve and even enjoy it. I'm here not just to help you get better grades, but to make sure you truly understand the “why” behind the problems. I enjoy teaching because I love seeing that moment when a concept finally clicks and I want to help you experience that too. As a math tutor, my teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and active engagement. I begin each lesson by assessing the student’s current understanding and identifying specific problem areas. I then break down complex concepts into simpler steps, using real-life examples and visual aids when possible to enhance understanding. I encourage students to think critically and ask questions, fostering a supportive environment where they feel confident to learn from mistakes. I tailor my teaching style to the student's individual needs and learning pace, using analogies, diagrams, or hands-on examples depending on what works best for them. A typical session lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour, allowing enough time to cover key topics while keeping the student focused and engaged. I have a strong foundation in math and have successfully helped classmates and younger students understand and improve their math skills. My lessons are ideal for primary school and secondary school students. I aim to help students build confidence, improve grades, and develop a more positive relationship with math.
